About UsOur goal is to enable a creative journey for anyone keen to experience an abstract style of acrylic painting on canvas.
About Nicole
"I have always enjoyed making art. Most of my work is of lively contemporary landscapes and bright still lifes. However, I do like to "cut loose" at times and dive into a colourful abstract. I believes this practice makes my other work better, as intuition, colour and emotion take over.
I work out of my small backyard studio in Bathurst, NSW. I share the space with my dog (pictured left) and my artist husband. The studio is open once a month on the Bathurst Arts Trail. I am also a member of the Tablelands Art Cooperative Gallery, where you can find me on most Monday afternoons. Drop in to say hello! I believes anyone can paint, anyone can create. It's up to you!" About Julie
"I love to draw, paint, print, stitch, design, create and teach....not necessarily in that order!
My artwork shifts between simple, whimsical illustrations in watercolour and ink, and vibrant, botanically themed abstract acrylic paintings featuring quirky gardens and friendly insects. I have always been passionate about printmaking and I love lino printing. I have also dabbled in the limitless world of screen printing and the vintage wonder that is letterpress. The belief that there is an artist lurking inside everyone is at the core of my creative philosophy. I believe the greatest inhibitor of creativity is fear. Being creative is simply having the courage to explore, experiment and discover. I currently facilitate "Kids at Pigs" - an art program for young artists aged 5—12 years." About You
You would be a perfect candidate for a Paint It Happy workshop if you can relate to any of the following statements:
Our workshops nurture the truest beginner. All you need to participate in one of our workshops is a dash of enthusiasm, a positive attitude and an open mind. We will help you to connect with your inner artist. We encourage you to be brave, post-pone judgement, and embrace the creative learning experience. We will guide you throughout the workshop to ensure you take home a tangible piece of your creativity that you can be proud of. Note: Our workshops may not suit those who wish to learn about fundamentals of drawing and create traditional artworks (e.g. still life / landscapes / portraits). |
